North Cascades Bluegrass Festival is located near Deming, WA and is easily accessible via Interstate 5, Highway 539, and Highway 9. It is approximately 12 miles northeast of Bellingham, WA.​  See the following for directions: 

 

Traveling South on I5 from Canada:

Take the Axton Road/Main Street Exit 262:  This is the shortest route if you are coming from Vancouver, BC. and are coming south on I-5. Take the Axton Road/Main St exit 262 and head east (left) to the Guide Meridian (Highway 539) Turn Left(North) for a short distance to E. Hemmi Road and turn (right) East. Follow E. Hemmi Road for a while and veer right on “Fazon”.  Fazon turns into Cedarville road and takes you all the way to the festival. which will be on the right side.  Look for the signs.

Traveling South from Canada using the Canadian Highway 13/US 539 Border Crossing:

This is the shortest route from this crossing. Cross the border and travel South on 539 (Guide Meridian) to  E. Hemmi Rd.  Turn (Left) East on E. Hemmi.  Follow E. Hemmi Road for a while and veer right on “Fazon”.  Fazon turns into Cedarville road and takes you all the way to the festival. which will be on the right side.  Look for the signs.

Traveling South on Highway 9 from Canada:

Take Highway 9 South: Travel south to roundabout.  Take Highway 542 West (Mount Baker Highway) to “Cedarville Rd” (just after you cross the river).  Take a right on “Cedarville Rd and continue appx. 1 Mile to the North Cascades Bluegrass Festival

 


Traveling North on I5

Take the Sunset Dr/Mt Baker Hwy – Exit 255:  This is the shortest route if you are coming from points south of Bellingham (Seattle, Portland etc.) Take I-5 to the Sunset Drive exit (#255) and head east.  Continue through the traffic circle and stay on 542 to the bottom of the hill and turn left on to Cedarville Road.  If you cross the bridge/river, you’ve gone too far, so turn around and go back to the Cedarville Road and turn right. Follow the Cedarville Road for a mile or two until you see the Deming Log Show Grounds on the left – you can’t miss it.

Traveling North on Highway 9: Travel Northwest on WA-9/WA-542 (Mount Baker Highway).  At the traffic circle, continue straight onto WA-542.  Continue Northwest to “Cedarville Rd” (Just after crossing river).  Take a right on “Cedarville Rd and continue appx. 1 Mile to the North Cascades Bluegrass Festival
