We have some sad news and some GREAT news to share with everyone. The sad news is that the Portland-based band Whiskey Deaf is not able to join us this year at the festival. We here at Festival HQ were certainly sorry and sad to learn that they had to back out of playing at this year’s festival but we hope to welcome them back sometime in the future. If anyone has ever seen Annie Staninec burn it down on the fiddle you’ll know what we mean. And the great news? Or rather should we say GREAT NEWS?? Well, here it is: The North Cascades Bluegrass Festival is pleased and excited to announce that the multi-talented, multi-award-winning and two-time Grammy nominated band SPECIAL CONSENSUS will be joining us at this year’s festival on both Saturday and Sunday, Sept 4th and 5th, 2021. In addition to performing, members of the band will be presenting workshops in the mornings (stay tuned for more workshop details). If you have not seen Special C in concert (or even if you have seen them dozens of times) you won’t want to miss them – they are truly one of the great Bluegrass bands touring today. To say that they “bring it” is an understatement . They “bring it and then some”!And how, you might ask, do you buy tickets to see Special Consenus in concert?? Well…just head over to www.ncbf.fun and follow the Yellow Brick Road or, better yet, click on the “Buy Tickets” link in the menu bar. It’s just that easy! ... See MoreSee Less
