What is Open Mic? Have you ever wanted to play on a live stage with a professional sound system? If so, our open mic night is the perfect opportunity for you!
North Cascades Bluegrass Festival provides a performance venue for those individuals/groups who would like to share their Bluegrass music with other Festival attendees. Open Mic is held on Thursday evening before the main festival starts on Friday morning.
When does Open Mic start? Performances start at 6 pm and end at 9 pm. Set length is 25 minutes with a 15-minute transition between performances. There will be a total of 5 Sets.
Where is the Open Mic Venue? Open Mic is held on festival grounds in the Deming Log Show Museum.
How do I sign up for Open Mic? Click HERE to be taken to the sign-up application. Application cut-off is noon on TBA Schedule will be posted on this page.
How are bands scheduled? All bands will be put into a hat and drawn randomly for placement. The first name drawn will be the first band to play. HOWEVER, if there are more bands than there are sets, then all names will be put into a hat and drawn randomly until all slots are filled (We think this is the fairest way to select the performers). All bands will be contacted after the cut-off date with confirmation of their performance schedule or with regrets that they were not drawn this time.
